Anish Kapoor
Born in Mumbai, 1954, lives and works in London
His pieces are often brightly colored, monochromatic, simple forms. Kapoor’s early powder pigment pieces were inspired by the markets and temples in India, whereas his later works are more solid and play with distortion and dualities; light-dark, invisible-visible.
