David and I had a great week (which certainly wasn’t long enough) in Biddeford Pool! We had a delicious food, took a really nice bike ride to Timber Point, took a tour of the nunnery building and I got some tennis in. I can’t wait to be back there.
I had another amazing visit in Maine! Filled with family, great friends, good food and beautiful landscapes. For more photos, click here.
I recently came back from an amazing trip to Iceland. We started our adventure in Reykjavik, saw Strokkur geysir and the Gulfoss waterfall and then drove up the West coast to Borganes, Hellnar and around the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. We then continued to Stykkishólmur where we took a ferry to Flatey Island, and spent the night. It was an absolutely wonderful trip, with great company, delicious food and beautiful landscape. I would highly recommend Iceland! And if you want to see more photos, click here.
We spent last weekend in Devon which was wonderful. We stayed in a fantastic bed and breakfast called Lee Byre. The farmhouse was beautiful and the food was amazing! We took some great walks on Dartmoor and enjoyed the stunning landscape. I can’t wait to go back!
I just spent a wonderful week on the Cote D’Azur! We stayed in Antibes and went on some great excursions. Fondation Maeght in Saint-Paul de Vence is a family owned collection which includes work by Alexander Calder, Georges Braque, Joan Miro and many more. We then drove to the charming town of Saint-Agnes, perched on the top of a hill overlooking the Mediterranean. I’m already looking forward to my next trip! I spent a few days in the New Forest (a heathland and forest in south-west Hampshire) over New Years which was lovely. The weather wasn’t great, but I managed to get out for a spectacular walk along the coast line and have a fun New Year’s Eve in the charming village, Milford on Sea. I also went to Salisbury, the cathedral city in Wiltshire. Salisbury Cathedral was built from 1220 to 1258 and has the tallest church spire in the UK. It contains the world’s oldest working clock (from AD 1386) and has the best surviving copy of the Magna Carta. This little excursion was a great way to start 2016!
